usr/bin/photopaint: line 142: 2487 Aborted (core dumped). Sorry, that's just me and I've learned from hard experience that that's the way it's gotta be for me)Īfter the install, nothing is in the menu so I try to start it from a terminal window by typing

I have zero tolerance and NO USE for goofy interfaces that require a lot of time to learn, do the unexpected or anything that distracts me from the task at hand.

(Side Note: I searched long and hard for a Word processor on Linux, not liking either Microsoft Office or Open Office or Lotus or LIbre and finally tried installing a WordPerfect 10 that had come with another computer that I bought long ago and it works beautifully, includes an Oxford dictionary and grammar checker and behaves just as I believe a Word processor should. I'm using Fedora Core 14 (very pleased with it by the way).

I'm not interested in Gimp or other paint programs.Īll the needed libraries seem to be included in the distribution and all installs OK with rpm -Uvh except for fonttastic, some sort of goofy font package, which complains of a conflict with some other rpm in the modern distribution. I've downloaded and installed Corel Photopaint 9 for Linux which is still out there although Corel no long supports the products.
